Retained Search

For assignments where a significant amount of time and effort is required to profile and identify a key candidate, a retained search assignment can be highly effective as it enables us to prioritise our workload by deploying all necessary resources.

Our retained search assignments are built on the foundation of expert research capabilities and a detailed knowledge of the Advisory, Consulting, Taxation, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and Alternative Investment markets.

The Brief: You will meet with a senior team member to discuss the exact requirements of the search. This includes strategic objectives and assignment brief, methods and time-scales. To keep the client updated and in full control we will;

  • Draft progress reports
  • Provide up-to-date analysis
  • Meet regularly

Long list: Depending on the size and requirements of the search we generally aim to compile a ‘long list’ of 6-10 candidates which include formatted CVs, biographies and additional relevant notes. We then advise the client to select up to 6 candidates which we will then formally interview with a view to creating a short list.

Short lists: From our intensive interview process a small selection of candidates we highly recommend will be provided. Your interview process then takes over until you are ready to make a decision.

Selection: We add value during the decision making process by assisting with negotiations, managing potential counter offers and supporting the resulting resignation process.
